Arrangements
As an arranger with over seven years of professional experience, I create arrangements that are idiomatic, practical, and musically compelling. My work has been performed by a wide range of ensembles, including the internationally recognized Eastman Saxophone Project, as well as groups across the United States and abroad. I approach each project with close attention to color and balance, tailoring each part to the specific strengths of your ensemble and the musicians performing it.
I work primarily on commission and collaborate closely with clients throughout the entire process. Commission fees are calculated per minute of finished music and vary based on ensemble size, project scope, and deadline. Rates for small ensembles (4-6 players) typically begin at $35-50 per minute of music, with medium and large ensembles priced accordingly. All commissions include a full score and parts, reasonable revisions, and ongoing communication to ensure the arrangement fits the needs of the ensemble until the performance.
For copyright reasons, all commissioned arrangements must be of works in the public domain or of music for which the client holds the appropriate rights or permissions to arrange.
If you need ideas for potential arrangements or programming, feel free to reach out. As Assistant Director of the Eastman Saxophone Project, I’ve been part of building and refining numerous mock programs; while not all were right for our ensemble, many would translate beautifully to other groups.
