Saxophone ensemble (4S 4A 4T 4B 1Bs) - advanced - $100
One of the most celebrated orchestral showpieces in the repertoire, Danse bacchanale serves as the dramatic finale to Act III of Saint-Saëns' opera Samson et Dalila. The music accompanies a wild pagan celebration in the Temple of Dagon as the blinded Samson is brought before the Philistines, just before he destroys the temple in the opera's climactic conclusion.
This arrangement was created for the Eastman Saxophone Project's 2025 Spring Concert.
